Our Doctors
Drs. Abbie & Logan Tucker
Drs. Abbie (Dr. Tucker to her patients) and Logan Tucker (Dr. Logan to his patients) met in 2004 while attending Auburn University. They were both accepted into the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, where they excelled for the next four years. While at UAB, Dr. Abbie Tucker participated in student government, and she was active in dental research. Dr. Logan Tucker was a four-year member of the UAB Ethics Council, and he was also active in dental research. They are both members of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honors fraternity, a national dental honor society founded for the purpose of advancing the ethical standards of the dental profession. Members are elected from the top 20 percent of the graduating class and show potential for professional growth. They serve as examples among their peers.
In April 2009, Drs. Abbie and Logan Tucker were married in Selma, AL. Soon after, they moved to Asheville, NC, where Dr. Abbie Tucker completed The Mountain Area Health Education Center General Practice Dental Residency Program. This one-year, hand-on training program involved some of the most cutting-edge technologies and dental procedures. After completion of the residency program, Dr. Tucker decided she wanted to work in the private practice sector of dentistry. Immediately after dental school, Dr. Logan started working for Western North Carolina Community Health Services, where he became efficient in all areas of general dentistry. In the summer of 2011, Drs. Tucker knew it was time to come back to Alabama. They purchased Dr. Ed Williams’s general dentistry practice in Selma, AL, and they now are offering a wide range of general and cosmetic dental services. Both are active members in American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, and UAB School of Dentistry Alumni Association.
Dr. Austin Jordan DMD
Dr. Austin Jordan DMD grew up in Frisco City, Alabama and attended school at Monroe Academy. After graduating, he went to The University of Alabama to pursue a degree in Chemical engineering. He met his wife, Dr. Amy Chandler Jordan, Au.D., a Selma native, while attending The University of Alabama where they both graduated with honors while being active members in various social and student government associations.
Dr. Jordan completed his education at the capstone graduating with prestigious honors and earning a bachelor’s degree in chemical and biological engineering. Upon graduating from the University of Alabama, Dr. Jordan pursued his childhood dreams of becoming a dentist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While in dental school, Dr. Jordan’s dreams became reality as he excelled in his clinical courses that encompassed all areas of general dentistry. During Dr. Jordan’s time at UAB, he was a member of multiple student organizations such as the Alabama Student Dental Association, UABSOD Implantology interest group, and UABSOD Periodontics interest group. The Jordans were married in Selma in June 2021. Soon after, they settled in Selma to begin practicing in their respective fields.

Brandy Blackmon
Brandy Blackmon has a hybrid position at TFD. She is very versatile at changing from one job task to another. You may see her at the checkout desk, assisting one of our doctors, or performing dental hygiene. Brandy and her husband Justin have two beautiful teenage daughters. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Bridget Atkinson
Bridget Atkinson is our Insurance Coordinator and has been in the dental field since 2009. She does a wonderful job of assisting patients with their financial and dental insurance questions. Bridget is married to David and has 5 children.
Casey Blackmon
Casey Blackmon has been with TFD for 3 years. Currently she is studying to become a dental hygienist. She has 4 children with her husband. She loves spending time with her puppies and family.
Christy Rushing
Christy Rushing is one of our energetic hygienists, she will welcome you with a smile. Christy and her husband Mike have been married for 10 years and enjoy spending time with their dog Gauge.
Cindy Motley
Cindy Motley is the Scheduling Coordinator and one of the welcoming voices at our practice. When not on the phone with patients, she is ensuring patient and insurance information is input correctly and tackling anything else that needs to be done in a busy dental practice, smiling the entire time. Cindy has been married since 1986. When she’s not at the front desk, you will find Cindy spending time with family and friends, watching Ohio State and Alabama football, and traveling. Cindy has 2 children, 2 great granddaughters, and 3 great granddaughters.
Jessica Lovelady
Jessica Lovelady is born and raised in Selma, AL. She is married to Logan Lovelady and has 3 boys; Liam, Wren, and Aidan. Jessica has been a Dental Hygienist since 2016. She loves working with the healthcare community to serve our patients the best dental care. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and boys.
Kristi Anthony
Kristi Anthony has been with TFD for 10 years and is one of our hygienists. She is married to her husband David and together they have two little boys, Adam (5.5) and Jason (3). Roll Tide!
Lauren Headley
Lauren Headley joined the team in May of 2021 as a dental assistant. Lauren enjoys meeting new patients and helping them with their dental treatment. Lauren has been married to her husband Josh since 2014 and they have 2 sons, Chandler and Morris.
Magen Persinger
Magen Persinger is one of our dental assistants. She has been a part of our team since 2015. She loves making our patients feel comfortable during their visit. Magen married her husband Andrew in 2018 and they have a perfect one year old boy, Andy.
Mary Helen Smith
Our Practice Manager, Mary Helen Smith, oversees our daily operations. Mary Helen provides IT assistance, employee management, human resources, and anything else the office needs to run smoothly. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Niya Moore
Niya Moore is a dental assistant who is ready to make our patients feel comfortable during their dental treatment. She enjoys bonding with patients and working chairside with the doctors. She enjoys spending time with family and friends on the weekend.
Wendy Ingram
Wendy Ingram is a hygienist that has practiced over 25 years. She loves helping all her patients maintain optimal oral health. She is married with 2 sons.
