Routine Cleanings

In order to maintain oral health and ensure that any developing problems are caught early, it is recommended that adults visit the dentist twice a year for a routine cleaning. During a routine cleaning, we will not only thoroughly clean your teeth, but we will check for any signs of decay, gum disease, and oral cancer. At the end of the cleaning, we will instruct you on how you can improve your at-home hygiene habits, so you can be proactive about your oral health.

Oral Cancer Screenings

During a routine cleaning, we will check for signs of oral cancer. Symptoms include bad breath, red or white sore on the gums, and ulcers. If we suspect you may have oral cancer, we will perform further testings and plan a treatment schedule.

Fluoride Treatments

Fluoride is an element that helps prevent tooth decay. In many cities, fluoride is added to the tap water to improve oral health. However, sometimes this isn’t enough. At Tucker Family Dentistry, we will provide fluoride treatments during a routine cleaning if we feel it is necessary.

Teeth Whitening

Or, if you would rather whiten from home, we can provide a whitening kit. We custom-create trays that will comfortably fit both your top and bottom teeth. You will also receive a high-strength bleaching gel to fill in the trays. You will see results within a few applications, and the entire process takes about one to two weeks.
