Our Doctors
Drs. Abbie & Logan Tucker
Drs. Abbie (Dr. Tucker to her patients) and Logan Tucker (Dr. Logan to his patients) met in 2004 while attending Auburn University. They were both accepted into the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, where they excelled for the next four years. While at UAB, Dr. Abbie Tucker participated in student government, and she was active in dental research. Dr. Logan Tucker was a four-year member of the UAB Ethics Council, and he was also active in dental research. They are both members of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honors fraternity, a national dental honor society founded for the purpose of advancing the ethical standards of the dental profession. Members are elected from the top 20 percent of the graduating class and show potential for professional growth. They serve as examples among their peers.
In April 2009, Drs. Abbie and Logan Tucker were married in Selma, AL. Soon after, they moved to Asheville, NC, where Dr. Abbie Tucker completed The Mountain Area Health Education Center General Practice Dental Residency Program. This one-year, hand-on training program involved some of the most cutting-edge technologies and dental procedures. After completion of the residency program, Dr. Tucker decided she wanted to work in the private practice sector of dentistry. Immediately after dental school, Dr. Logan started working for Western North Carolina Community Health Services, where he became efficient in all areas of general dentistry. In the summer of 2011, Drs. Tucker knew it was time to come back to Alabama. They purchased Dr. Ed Williams’s general dentistry practice in Selma, AL, and they now are offering a wide range of general and cosmetic dental services. Both are active members in American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, and UAB School of Dentistry Alumni Association.
Dr. Alana Robinson
Dr. Alana has wanted to be a dentist since she was six years old. She attended Clemson University and The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, graduating with honors from both. Her favorite part of dentistry is making patients feel comfortable and happy with their smile. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and Crossfit. She is obsessed with her 7lbs Bichon Frise puppy, Lilly.
Our Team
Bridget Atkinson
Bridget Atkinson is our Insurance Coordinator and has been in the dental field since 2004. She does a wonderful job of assisting patients with their financial and dental insurance questions. Bridget is married to David had has 5 children and 5 grandchildren.
Casey Blackmon
Casey Blackmon is one of our hygienists and has been with our office since 2019. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and confident about their smiles. Casey is passionate about promoting healthy habits and providing gentle, quality care. Outside of work, Casey loves spending time with her family and friends.
Christy Rushing
Christy Rushing is one of our energetic hygienists that will greet you with a smile. She has been apart of our office since 2021 and loves taking care of her patients. Christy has been married to her husband Mike since 2012.
Cindy Motley
Cindy Motley is the Scheduling Coordinator and one of the welcoming voices at our practice. When not on the phone with patients, she is ensuring patient and insurance information is inputted correctly. Cindy tackles anything else that needs to be done in a busy dental practice, smiling the entire time. She has been married since 1986. When Cindy’s not at the front desk, you will find her spending time with family and friends, watching Ohio State and Alabama football, and traveling. Cindy has 2 children and 5 great grandchildren.
Lauren Headley
Lauren Headley joined the team in May of 2021 as a dental assistant and is now a registered dental hygienist. Lauren enjoys meeting new patients and helping them with their oral health. Lauren has been married to her husband Josh since 2014 and they have 2 sons, Chandler and Morris.
Magen Persinger
Magen Persinger has been a member of the Tucker Family Dentistry team for over a decade. She enjoys assisting the Doctors to give our patients the best dental treatment possible. When she is not in the office, she loves spending time with her Husband Andrew and two boys Andy and Colson, she is expecting her 3rd child in February.
Mary Helen Smith
Our Practice Manager, Mary Helen Smith, oversees our daily operations. Mary Helen provides IT assistance, employee management, human resources, and anything else the office needs to run smoothly. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Niya Moore
Niya Moore is a dental hygienist who is ready to make our patients feel comfortable during their dental cleanings. She enjoys bonding with patients and working chairside with the doctors. Niya also enjoys spending time with family and friends on the weekend.
Wendy Ingram
Wendy Ingram is a hygienist that has practiced over 25 years. She loves helping patients maintain their optimum oral health. She is married with two sons.
Chelsea Owens
Chelsea Owens is one of our dental assistants. She enjoys helping patients feel at ease when they come into our dental practice. Chelsea’s knowledge and calming personality help to comfort patients during their dental procedures. Outside of work Chelsea enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband, Kyle.
Mary Kathryn Egbert
Mary Kathryn Egbert has been apart of our team since June 2024. She loves making patients feel welcomed during their visit. Outside of the office, Mary Kathryn enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She is getting married in December 2025 to her fiancé,
Kelsey Hale
Kelsey Hale is one of our dental assistants. She has been with us since December of 2022 and is currently attending dental hygiene school to further her career in dental care. Kelsey loves helping patients feel comfortable and confident during their dental visits.
Reagan Cothran
Reagan Cothran is one of our Scheduling Coordinators. She enjoys helping to keep our community healthy and smiling. Outside of work, Reagan enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dog Tate.
Kristy Reeves
Kristy Reeves is a dedicated dental hygienist with 15 years of experience in the dental field. She has been with Tucker Family Dentistry since 2023. Kristy is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy smiles while creating a comfortable and welcoming experience. Outside of work, Kristy enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 children, family and close friends.
